Switch off, and escape to the Highlands!
With a world so entrenched in screens and digital content, our guests often comment on how wonderful it is to switch off and relax here at Woodside Lodge. A quick Google suggests that searches for a ‘digital detox’ are up over 10% year on year, over 60% of workers check their emails on holiday, and that our increased dependency on our phones has a negative impact on mental and physical health. However… surrounded by mountains, lochs and forests, we see our guests quickly tune into nature as they spend time here on our estate.
Slowing down and spending time in green spaces has been proven to reduce the stress hormone (cortisol) and boost happiness. Add to that, incredible views, time spent exploring the area, delicious food and a 5-star service throughout, and every guest leaves feeling refreshed, relaxed and reset.

There are plenty of ways to arrive in style to Woodside Lodge Estate! Our guests over the years have arrived by plane, boat, rail or road, so reaching our idyllic Scottish escape has never been easier.
One of our top recommendations? Travel on the Caledonian Sleeper train to make the most of your time with us. Guests board the train from 21.15 at London Euston, enjoying a glass of wine and delicious dinner as the train speeds through the countryside, before falling asleep in a cosy cabin and waking up as the train pulls into picturesque Arrochar & Tarbet at 07.08. Our Land Rovers will meet you at the station, and whisk you straight back to Woodside Lodge just in time for a full traditional Scottish breakfast beside the loch.

Spring has arrived at Woodside Lodge.
Our favourite season has returned at Woodside Lodge, the trees and flowers are blossoming and new life is all around us. Fawns and seal cubs have appeared, and the elusive red squirrels have woken up from their winter hibernation.
Our magnificent estate is bursting with life and colour, and to celebrate the arrival of Spring we’re offering an exclusive 10% discount on all accommodation bookings for a limited time only – use the code Spring10 to get your discount. For the first time, we are now offering online booking of all the properties on the estate, so read on for more info.
Woodside Lodge
The heart of the estate is now available for serviced breaks for groups of 12 or more. Previously only available for events and functions, The Lodge is now available for private bookings. Dine in the Arts & Crafts Room, relax on the terrace or unwind in the library, it’s your choice…
Seal Cabin
Scotland’s most romantic hideaway can now be booked for self-catering stays. Enjoy life on the water’s edge and revel in the breathtaking views. Sleeps 2.
The Stables
The newest addition to Woodside Lodge is now available for self-catering breaks. Overlooking the loch, The Stables has undergone a full renovation features original wood and exposed brick and a luxurious free standing bath. Sleeps up to 6.

Meanwhile, on the estate our gardeners are hard at work planting new crops in our garden patches and greenhouse. You’ll find lots of delicacies like fresh herbs, tomatoes, and other produce, including the crisp taste of asparagus and juicy strawberries. This is essential for our 2 AA rosette kitchen team to continue serving up the best of Scottish produce from land and sea. (Our kitchen team only cater for functions and serviced stays in Woodside Lodge).
