Rustic Romance…
There is nothing more romantic than an ocean of wildflowers, a stunning sea loch, a magical treehouse and all of your loved ones gathered together as you celebrate the greatest day of your life.
Today’s gorgeous bride and groom had a relaxed, outdoor rustic wedding.
Amanda and James were such an amazing young couple, they knew exactly what type of wedding they wanted.
They got married on the 15th November last year in our famous treehouse.
They imagined their wedding to be simple, relaxed and rustic which allowed them to spend time with each of their guests, so they only invited an intimate guest list of just 10 of their family and close friends.
Amanda – Looked totally stunning on her big day….( What a veil ! )
James – A total outdoor man dressed to kill
Bud – their wee dog who I have to say “stole the show”
Amanda’s Words
James and I have been together for 13 years. We live together in Ripponden, Halifax, along with our Springer Spaniel, Bud.
I am a Company Accountant (not a boring one). James is a Landscape Gardener, tree surgeon and anything else to do with the outdoors.
We love to travel and have visited lots of places around the world.
At present we live in the countryside and very much enjoy the Country life.
We met through some mutual friends who were actually on a date at the time. James and I accompanied our friends as moral support. Their date didn’t take off but James and I got on like a house on fire.
‘The rest is history..”
James proposed at Lake Tekapo in New Zealand, one of my favourite places in the world. It was a total surprise and I was an emotional wreck for two days, something I will never forget.
In 2013 for James’ 30th birthday, we did a mini tour of Scotland. Along the way, we viewed some potential wedding venues. We viewed no more after we saw The Lodge. Both of us fell totally in love with the place, especially the treehouse. We wanted our wedding to be unique, special, in a stunning place and also to represent both of us and what we like in life. The Lodge ticked every single box in more ways than one.
The best in the world. Our experience from the moment we arrived to the minute we left was nothing but faultless! Alice is the best at what she does and makes the whole experience extra special. We hold a special place in our hearts for The Lodge on Loch Goil.
We went to Dubai for our Honeymoon and had a fantastic time.
Our plans for the future is to travel more and see places we haven’t yet been to. We would love to come back to visit The Lodge one day.
But for now, we will carry on enjoying our country life with friends and of course our dog Bud.
Alice’s words
We look forward to seeing them both again, as they have booked to stay in our lovely Summerhouse and will be having dinner in our amazing Treehouse for their 1st anniversary in November.
An anniversary is a reminder as to why you love and married this person..
