Just over an hour’s drive from Glasgow, this Victorian private country house built in 1864 is one of the finest 5-star venues in Scotland.

Planes, Trains, Automobiles and Boats

The Lodge on Loch Goil is just over an hour’s drive from Glasgow, but can just as easily be reached by train or boat. The famously scenic West Highland train line stops in Arrochar and Tarbet, where we can arrange for our driver to pick you up for the short journey to Loch Goil. The newly reopened Caledonian Sleeper service now connects this line with London, allowing guests to arrive refreshed and ready to go.

We have two moorings at The Lodge for yacht and boat-owners. Just over 16 Nautical miles from Kip Marina, you can choose to stay with us overnight or book afternoon tea, lunch or dinner as a non-resident (pre-booking required).
